Jose Cuervo, 08!

Heh.

Hey, campaign managers! Hope you've been checking your calendar, because you should know, Super Tuesday is going to fall on the same day as Mardi Gras. As you are no doubt aware, Mardi Gras is the day where college students across the country get rocked out of their gourds on Boone's Farm and engage in a little tit-for-tat bartering, where "tat" refers to strings of cheap, plastic beads. It's the audacity of grope!
For what it's worth, Louisiana's own Democratic primary is February 9, after everybody has had a chance to sleep it off. You gotta know how to plan these things!

The Repubs caucus here on January 22, one day after the MLK holiday. I infer no significance.

This should have some impact on the polls. The more liberal students will be out partying and getting drunk. Voting matters, but... its a party! While social conservatives, less party-prone, will be less affected.

I dont know if the partial elimination of the intersection of students and social conservatives will have that much of an effect. But it might make the 1% difference between one candidate and another.
