Shepard Smith: DHS report on right-wing threat was 'a warning to us all, and it appears now they were right'
The GOP freakout over the DHS report on right-wing extremists was a piece of absurdist theater that was designed to distract people and intimidate the media from discussing the very real threat of home-grown terrorist violence. They pretended that the report was targeting teabaggers and other rank-and-file conservatives.
Of course, that was not the case. The report was about potentially violent extremists. It was about people like Richard Poplawski. It was about people like Scott Roeder. It was about people like James von Brunn.

Shepard Smith: 'We are America! We do not f***ing torture!'
Wow.
Shepard Smith might be on the street looking for a new job sometime soon - and not because he unleashed a stream of profanity on live television
No, the problem for Shep is that he seems to have forgotten where he works. Maybe you can diss torture at some liberal hothouse like MSNBCACLU, but at Fox "News"? There's probably a special room at Gitmo reserved exclusively for Fox personalities who wander that far away from the party line.
