Bush accomplishes nothing in Asia

Nothing. Nada. Rien.

Zilch. Zippo. The big goose egg.

Pick the language or lingo of your choice. It all means exactly the same thing.

President Bush heads home from his Asian summit with nothing to show for it except having become the laughing stock of the planet for trying to escape reporters through a locked door.

As Bush wrapped up his stay in Beijing on Sunday and prepared to head home Monday after a brief stop in Mongolia, the trip has produced no real breakthroughs of any sort. On a wide variety of issues, from trade to security to human rights, Bush won no concrete agreements from any of his summit partners.
Of course, even the administration acknowledged that this would be the likely outcome of the trip.

Too bad about that credibility thing. Kinda hard to stride large across the world stage when you're making like Charlie Chaplin in a silent short.

But this wasn't about results, it was about getting out of town for awhile.

So, mission accomplished, Mr. President! You're doin' a heckuva job.

Finally, he's being seen for what he truly is - a miserable failure.
