Scarborough on Roberts

Ol' Joe Scarborough could not have tried harder to whip the Roberts nomination into a froth. He could not have failed more miserably.

He led off with hyperbolic predictions of a confirmation bloodletting to rival the Clarence Thomas hearings. What did he get for his trouble?

Former Al Gore attorney David Boies predicted that Roberts will absolutely get an up-or-down vote and will absolutely get confirmed.

Karen Pearl, the interim president of Planned Parenthood said she won't form a judgement unless and until she hears Judge Roberts express his thoughts on privacy and women's health.

Ol' Joe would not be denied. He tried again with Ms. Pearl.

Ol' Joe: "Yeah, but you know, he said Roe v. Wade has to go!He said ROE V. WADE HAS TO GO!! ROE V. WADE! HAS TO GO!!!"

Ms. Pearl: "Well, we certainly hope Judge Roberts supports privacy and women's health. Back atcha, Joe.
Is there some DNC talking-points memo out there that even The Raw Story hasn't been able to dig up instructing everybody to the left of Rush Limbaugh to just smile and and keep their yaps closed on this one?

I suspect that Traitorgate will be back on the front page much sooner than Kaptain Karl would like. The confirmation hearings are not until September! It could be a long summer for Mr. Rove.
