WTF with Marc Maron

Marc Maron is back!

He has a new podcast called WTF with Marc Maron.

Just in time, is all I can say. I was livid when Air America cancelled BRL with three hours' notice back in July. Maron is one of the greatest comic voices in the country. He is one of the few, along with Janeane Garofalo and Sam Seder, that I just can't get enough of. I hoped he wouldn't be gone too long. America needs him.

The inaugural episode features an interview with a comic named Jeff Ross, and it's interesting, if a little insidery. They even spend a few minutes talking about the infamous Chevy Chase roast at the Friar's Club in 2002.

Best of all, on the WTF Twitter feed, Maron promises that future episodes will feature Jim Earl, who basically co-hosted the late, lamented Marc Maron Show that AAR experimented with syndicating not long after they cancelled Morning Sedition.

Now that Randi Rhodes' new employer Clear Channel is charging $60 a year for her podcasts, it's nice to have a first-rate show like WTF to accompany me on the treadmill.

SO True!
Yay for WTF
Randi Rhodes Sellout...she claims to deserve a larger audience...and charges a fee to be heard...
Not quite the liberal, "You are only as strong as the weakest among you" credo she constantly opines.
Her show is circling the drain, anyway. AAR was a long time ago...
