AP: Sotomayor is Obama's SCOTUS nominee

AP:

Officials tell The Associated Press that President Barack Obama intends to nominate federal appeals court judge Sonia Sotomayor as the first Hispanic to serve on the Supreme Court.

Sotomayor, 54, would succeed retiring Justice David Souter if confirmed by the Senate. The officials spoke to the AP on condition of anonymity because Obama has not yet announced his decision.

The announcement is scheduled for 10:15 a.m. ET.
Republicans have been talking about opposing this nomination before there ever was a nominee. They have zero credibility. The Democrats must summon the political courage to expose the GOP's one-size-fits-all obstructionism for exactly what it is.
