Police say a Lafayette, LA woman shot and mortally wounded her son, who responded by wrestling the gun away from her and shooting her to death.
Police released a final update Thursday on the Feb. 18 shooting deaths of a 79-year-old mother and her 54-year-old son in Lafayette, reporting that the mother appears to have fired the first shot.Wow.
Evidence indicates that Joan Tyler shot David Tyler once in the back. Afterward, he took the gun from her and shot his mother multiple times, killing her, according to a Lafayette Police news release.
David Tyler then lay down on furniture in the home and died from his wound, police said.
Just... wow.
