The hottest thing on the web on Friday was Jon Stewart's savage interview of CNBC's Jim Cramer. The brutal exchange was the culmination of a week of back-and-forth between Stewart and Cramer. The clips, available on The Daily' Show's website, racked up millions of hits in a matter of hours. It's what everybody was talking about.
Everybody, that is, except MSNBC.
A TVNewser tipster tells us MSNBC producers were asked not to incorporate the Jim Cramer/Jon Stewart interview into their shows today. In fact, the only time it came up on MSNBC was during the White House briefing, when a member of the press corps asked Press Secretary Robert Gibbs if Pres. Obama watched. Gibbs wasn't sure if the president had, but Gibbs did. "I enjoyed it thoroughly," the Press Secretary said. The injunction held, apparently, until Rachel Maddow went on the air Friday night.
