Has the White House press corps always been this stupid?

I'm watching Robert Gibbs' press conference right now.

A reporter just finished grilling him on the Executive staff pay freezes that President Obama announced. She wanted to know if the president was going to freeze his own salary to "lead by example." Gibbs responded that the salary of the President of the United States is established by law. The reporter wanted to know if Obama intended to push for a law reducing the salary of the President of the United States.

This what she needed to know. Goodness.
