The End of Ralph Nader

Ralph Nader's third-party candidacy was not a factor in this election and I think it is fair to say that he will never be politically relevant again.

During an interview with a Houston radio station last night, Nader wondered aloud whether Barack Obama would become "Uncle Sam" for Americans, or "Uncle Tom" for corporations.

Yes. "Uncle Tom."

Then, Nader went on the air with Shepherd Smith of Fox "News" - yes, Fox "News," - and got his head handed to him.

Not. At. All.

Well.

Goodbye, then, Ralph. You used to be a man worth taking seriously. Now, you are bad joke. Good riddance.

Kudos, by the way, to Shep Smith for that tough, unblinking takedown of the rotted husk that used to be respected consumer advocate Ralph Nader.
