McCain tries to dial back the murderous rage of his supporters

Before John McCain is nominated for sainthood for trying to talk his wingnut base down from its homicidal rage against Barack Obama, everyone should remember that he is the one who whipped them into a murderous frenzy in the first place.



It is all well and good that he is trying to dial back the hate, and one can only hope that it works, but praising him for it is like thanking the arsonist who set fire to your house for handing you a bucket of water to throw on the flames.

Oh, and not that it has anything to do with anything, but I believe it is possible to be an Arab and a decent family man. And a citizen too, for that matter.
