Sen. Richard Shelby (R-AL) just walked out of the White House and announced to the assembled press corps that there is no agreement on a bailout plan.
It looked like he was rushing to put an anti-bailout spin on the story before anybody from inside could come out and say that a deal is likely.
I am confused.
McCain is on the ground. He's kicking butt and taking names. He's single-handedly making sure the deal gets done. How can this be?
Doesn't Shelby know that McCain was a POW?
