'Lynching Party'

Bill O'Reilly says he's not ready - just yet - to lynch Michelle Obama.

In a discussion of recent comments made by Michelle Obama, Bill O'Reilly took a call from a listener who stated that, according to "a friend who had knowledge of her," Obama " 'is a very angry,' her word was 'militant woman.' " O'Reilly later stated: "I don't want to go on a lynching party against Michelle Obama unless there's evidence, hard facts, that say this is how the woman really feels. If that's how she really feels -- that America is a bad country or a flawed nation, whatever -- then that's legit. We'll track it down."
Well, how noble of him. He's willing to wait.

And presumably once he tracks down the evidence that Mrs. Obama "really feels" however it is that he thinks she feels, O'Reilly will then be prepared to conduct "a lynching party" against her.

That's "legit," he says.

And yes, I know O'Reilly was - probably - speaking metaphorically. But what the hell kind of metaphor is that?

I'll follow this up later. I am so angry right now that my hands are shaking as I type this. I'll try to marshall my thoughts for a more coherent post that, hopefully, will consist of something more than an unbroken stream of profanity.
