It's official.
There is no justification for one more drop of American blood to be spilled in Iraq. Even the Petraeus the Great cannot say that the occupation is making America safer.
You heard it yourself. Petraeus the Lightgiver does not know that America will be safer even if the military objectives of the occupation, whatever they are (???) are accomplished.
If the Democrats cannot use the words of Petraeus the Truthbringer himself to make a case for ending the occupation, then they might as well just fold up the tent and go home.

Sadly I have a lot less faith with the Democrats than I did when they were elected. To paraphrase Michael Douglas in "An American President" they seem to be too busy keeping their job to actually do their job.
But they won't fold the tent and go home, that may give someone with a backbone who actually cares the ability to draw that Congressional salary!
