'He ain't no Washington outsider'

Freddie K-Street, A.K.A Hollywood Fred, A.K.A Fred Thompson, is crafting a campaign persona as a down-home Washington outsider, riding into town in his beat-up old pickup truck to set thangs right in the nation's capitol.

The problem is, it just ain't so.



Freddie K-street is the consummate Washington Insider. The man is a professional Washington lobbyist. His other day job is as a Hollywood actor. That accent nothwithstanding, he's about as down-home as Paris Hilton.

The obvious insincerity of his campaign persona should make smart reporters wonder what else he's pretending about.
