I'd say the president dodged a bullet on this one. Literally.
The last time Dick Cheney hid out in the bushes, somebody got shot in the face.

Why is the vice president hiding out in the bushes at the White House monitoring the president's press conference? That's the oddest thing I've seen so far this year.
