See ya!

Because nothing can be presumed true until a Bush administration official has denied it:

President Bush sent a message of encouragement Tuesday for embattled Attorney General Alberto Gonzales, calling his longtime friend to express support in the face of calls for his resignation.

The White House denied reports that it was looking for possible successors for Mr. Gonzales. "Those rumors are untrue," White House deputy press secretary Dana Perino said.
Stick a fork in him.

In a few days, Abu will issue a statement that he is stepping down to spend more time with his family, or some such. He will thank the president for his steadfast support. He will express regret that his botched handling of the communication related to the U.S. attorney firings caused the administration so much grief. He will reassert his unwaivering faith in Bush and the War on Terror®. Exit stage right.
