The Washington Post should be ashamed of itself for publishing this unimaginative recitation of GOP talking points on escalation.
Liz Cheney, Dick's little girl, is credited as "former principal deputy assistant secretary of state for Near Eastern affairs."
If this silly excuse for an op-ed represents Cheney's expertise on "Near Eastern affairs," and if it is indicative at all of the thinking in the Bush administration, I finally understand how they have made such a mess of things. They literally have no idea what they are doing.

john dean said that dick cheney has risen to the level of his incompetence. bad for us. apparently, he hires that way too.
Thank God she is a "former" employee of State. Bad policy is bad policy, no matter how much spin you put on it.
