UN: US should shut secret prisons

The United Nations Human Rights Committee is urging the Bush administration to close all of its secret detention facilities immediately.

In its findings on U.S. observance of the United Nation's main political rights' convention, the committee said it had "credible and uncontested" information that the United States had detained people "secretly and in secret places for months and years".
The UN says Washington should also give the Red Cross access to all detainees.
