Sam Seder grills the WaPo

If you missed Majority Report last night, Sam Seder really put the Washington Post's online editor on the spot. He did a great job of proving that ombudsman Deborah Howell's, and therefore the paper's, stance on whether Abramoff really "directed" donations to Democrats is nonsense.

James Brady had no apparent understanding of the facts of this story. He couldn't even really explain or defend his own paper's reporting, much less provide any sort of macro context.

The only thing I would have had Sam ask was how Ms. Howell can perform a job when doesn't even know what the job is. She seems to think that "ombudsman" is another word for "columnist." I would have loved to hear Brady explain that, but otherwise, Sam did a great job.
