From the New York Times:
Investigators at the Corporation for Public Broadcasting concluded today that its former chairman repeatedly broke federal law and its own regulations in a campaign to combat what he saw as liberal bias.Another Bush crony bites the dust.
The scathing report by the corporation's inspector general described a dysfunctional organization that violated the Public Broadcasting Act, which created the corporation and was written to insulate programming decisions from politics.
This is what is wrong with ideologues and loyalists. Nothing is more important to them than their ideas and/or the man to whom they are loyal. They will sacrifice God and country and humanity itself for their notions of what the world should be. They respect the law up to the moment that it gets in their way and no further.
Ken Tomlinson apparently took his seat on the CPB board determined to reshape public broadcasting in George W. Bush's image. See where it got him.
