President George W. Bush, by many accounts an untreated recovering alcoholic, drank an alcoholic beverage in Mongolia.
He drank fermented mare's milk - sometimes likened to a mix of warm beer and buttermilk - sipped tea and nibbled cheese curd, a White House official said. Reporters were kept outside and could not watch. What will the White House, if asked, have to say about this?

"I'm here on an important international mission," Bush told the Mongolian Parliament in his speech at the Government House. "Secretary Rumsfeld asked me to check on his horse."

Somehow, fermented mare's milk doesn't sound like something that would be alcoholic, but rather moldy, more akin to cheese.
I'm curious about this drink now.
