By the way, can anybody imagine any villain in popular culture saying such a thing as Bush said about needing to go on with his life? Think about it. What broadly-drawn over-the-top bad guy would ever say such a thing?

Would Tony Soprano brush off Cindy Sheehan by explaining that he needs his exercise? Would Darth Vader? What about Saruman the White, from The Lord of the Rings?

Forget cartoonish villains. How about cartoon villains? Would Lex Luthor or Dr. Doom be so crass as to explain that they have their own lives to live, and therefore can't be bothered with the mother of a man who died fighting their war of choice? Do you think Snidely Whiplash would degrade himself to such a degree?

The American people have elected a president who is worse than a portrait of evil. He is a caricature of evil.
